The bad weather held off long enough for the GSPN Lost Premiere Party, so we watched the new episode in a Custom Home Theater Showroom with podcasters I’ve been listening to for a year and I guess about 30 other people who I’ve never met before but who are similarly enchanted with this show.
Once Cliff puts up the “Initial Reactions” podcast we all recorded after the show...

Pop-Up LOST
ABC ran last season’s finale last night with a running explanation of wtf at the bottom of the screen. Peculiar.
I think all politicians are a**holes.

Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo: Metal Heads →
The singer and the football star, accompanied by four other friends, hit the Key Club for the hard-rocking Metal Skool Night. The pair were seated in the VIP section, protected by a bodyguard.
Dawn’s Take: If there is a VIP section, it’s not really metal at all.
Plans for the tax check
My first thoughts when news of tax rebate checks broke was to use it to pay the gas bill.
Then I thought I’d buy a pink laptop. Then I changed my mind decided to buy some bras and some jeans, which I never have enough of because I have to order online to get a great fit.
Last time I bought an office chair. It’s looking pretty run down now. Maybe I’ll buy office chairs...

Tumbleloggers are abuzz about Instapaper today. A site where you can make a page of stuff for you to read in detail later. It’s a great idea. I already use Tumblr that way!

Link from kodewulf
That happened to me once. A message board war broke out on one of my sites because a guy clicked on a link to someone’s myspace page in his sig, and then from there clicked onto one of his friends pages and found some political opinion he disagreed with. Then he got mad at me for allowing the link on my board.
I never able to explain that *I* had no control over this...

I embrace new technology
I heard the inter-office-powers-that-be whispering for the last few weeks. When the boss told me it was time for my evaluation I assumed they were about to tell me not to spend so much time surfing the internet.
Instead she basically told me she understands that I’m perpetually out of work because she’s noticed I work quickly and efficiently because I embrace new technology.
So...

“I found an old love letter that I’d written to a girl and it was really embarrassing and atrocious,” Nadelberg says. “I set out to find if other people had written equally horrible love letters and journals and bad poetry back when they were kids too and had the inclination to make it public.”
Cheap Ways to Stay Warm this Winter →
We’ve had really cold temps here in Cincinnati for about a week. Brrrr. Usually you suffer for a minute and it passes. It’s rare we get any weather for more than three days in a row.
Heck, if we buy enough PS3’s, maybe the problems in the housing market will...
