Not Being a Real Person: The #1 Self-Development... →
amwelles and givemesomethingtoread
As you can see by my last post I often struggle between the idea that I *should* be a “real person” but when it comes right down to it, the only part of doing that that ever makes me happy is the Health Insurance.
So I'm thinking to myself as I'm glittering...
that 40 yr old women don’t glitter T-shirts and there’s really something very wrong with me.
Then I decided that 40 yr old women do glitter T-shirts, just they do it with their kids usually probably.
Then I decided it’s not fair that I should not be allowed to have glittery T-shirts unless I buy them already glittery just because I have no kids.
Then I decided that...
Almost all Ross The Boss' new songs
have provoked the same reaction from me.
ANGER.
at Manowar.
for not being a real metal band anymore.
Then I get angry at the fans that are still supporting them.
Letting themselves get ripped off at every turn while they defend those jokers because they’re in such denial that they’ve convinced themselves that what little they’re being extorted for is actually good.

Dawn on Rock and Roll
I hate “Rock” music aimed at children.
It makes a mockery of actual Rock music.
I also hate “Rock” music that’s on the “Rock” station.
“Soft Rock” is a mockery of itself.
Anyone involved in this genre in any capacity
should be ashamed of themselves.
Don’t ever try to play music you think I’ll like for me.
You will...

Andrew Stanton, quoted from The Pixar Blog’s excerpts of a roundtable discussion
Girl at work: It's too quiet in here. We should put on some music.
Dawn: I have Napster. We can listen to anything. What do you want to hear?
Girl at work: How about soft rock love songs?
Dawn: ... really?
Dawn on Jakob
I don’t know the guy. I never met the guy. Probably never will.
I used to like his tumblelog because he took pics of himself every morning and that was interesting. I unfollowed him when he became unemployed and started posting 42 or so of his ‘deep thoughts’ all day long every day.
I’d have liked to have seen him just continue the morning photos.

Finally finished The Lost Lowdown Season Finale... →
It was like 18 hours or something like that and it took me I guess it’s been like a month or so… But finally I am finished.
Now I’m catching up on what I’ve missed over at the other LOST podcasts. Seems I missed myself doing very bad karaoke on The Dharmalars.

– George Carlin (via boringloser)
My dad took me to see George Carlin when I was approximately 7 yrs old.
He understood the man was a comedian but maybe not what kind of material he did.
I only got the fart jokes, which I thought were hi-larious.
My only other memory of the show is my dad being mortified he’d brought me to see it.
