Why I tell everyone its my birthday.
I just got a phone call from one of my fave people, who I IMmed earlier today to remind him it was my birthday. “You don’t have to keep reminding me,” he said. “I wasn’t going to forget!”
As I see it it comes down to one thing…. If you tell people it’s your birthday they celebrate a little with you. Works on strangers too.

My new gym!
This place is crowded compared to what I’m used to! But its also got a lot more stuff than what I’m used to as well. The class was good. Different than I’m used to because the instructor didn’t show the ‘beginner’ versions of the exercises. That’s how new people hurt themselves and then don’t come back.

Trainer: So, what are your goals?
Dawn: My goal is to exercise.
Trainer: You want to lose weight or get healthier?
Dawn: I don't like to get all caught up in all of that. I just like to go to classes cause I like them.
Trainer: blah blah blah muscle mass blah blah motivation.
Dawn: Yeah... well I just want to go to classes.
Trainer: blah blah blah results blah blah blah goals
Dawn: yeah well I've been doing different classes for five years now and that works for me.
Trainer: well you need to weight train too to achieve your goals
Dawn: well my goal is to take classes. So I don't.
Trainer: you'll be undoing the work you've done in cardio classes by not weight training.
Dawn: no I won't! because my only goal is to take classes. If I show up, I win, and besides theres lots of strength training classes too...
Trainer: How's your nutrition?
Dawn: My nutrition is irrelevant. I just want the classes... etc etc etc till they give up.

For most of the last two years I was convinced that fellow tumblelogger kodewulf, who was one of my faves, was nothing more than a techcrunch feed.
