The Scorpions canceled :(
But Cinderella and American Dog are playing anyway for free for everyone so go anyway and come out early so as not to miss the first band.
I’d better not get into drugs while on tour with my brother. There’s...
– Mike Henry in an email sent to and read on Jay and Jack’s LOST podcast
That band you're obsessed with
The other day a guy mentioned “that band you’re obsessed with” to me and I guessed Valient Thorr and didn’t even consider Manowar as a possibility.
Thanks American Dog! →
Woohoo! Michael put me on the guest list for the Scorpions/Cinderella/American Dog gig Wed at the LC! Nice of him so I thought I’d give his band some linkage and tell you to show up early so as not to miss the first band!

Me and the other guy
who turned up for the book club had some baked goods and an interesting discussion. No clue where the others were but we basically decided if were the only ones coming we should pick books we want to read.

Finished "The Secret"
It was really hard to get through. Maybe I will discuss how we should do a book club for skeptical titles cause I don’t want to have to suffer like that again.
Haven't gotten far in my podcasting adventures
I have many excuses but I’ll skip them all and tell you that today I tested the mic on my mp3 player and found out where files go when I record things. That’s a start. I’m not in a hurry.
My power went off last night
while I was watching Flashforward.
The whole neighborhood went dark as far as I could see in any direction out my windows.
I have a flashlight I keep in a handy location for such an emergency but I think any candles I might have had didn’t make the move, so I went out and bought some. Then when i came back in the door with the candles, I remembered I got rid of all my lighters/matches...
I still don't get Comfest
I did better than I did last year and the guy I went with actually let me stop and look at things and eat some food, but he wasn’t even a little bit interested in drinking and dancing and socializing which as I understand it, is what you do at this thing.
It’s not over yet and I could go back and try again but It’s freakin’ hot out and my motivation is low.
The Riverboat Gamblers →
are having a remix contest if you’re into doing that sort of thing. Even if you’re not you get the song and some cute noises you can use as ringtones or whatever for free from the site.
That's Thunder.
and I’m extra glad I’m not at Comfest.
Screw Comfest
It was hot today and I had things to do around the house so I decided to go to Arby’s and eat junk food for a lot cheaper. It might be different if I had some thing in particular to do over there but I don’t so I’m skipping it. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t the amazing experience people always tell me it is either. Maybe I’ll go back tomorrow.
Dawn on Location Based Services
I don’t get it. You go somewhere, you check in. It posts itself to your twitter or facebook or whatever. I look at it on my twitter stream. Looks like you’re out to dinner at a nice restaurant. Probably with your wife or your girlfriend. and you don’t actually know me in real life.
Why are you telling me where you’re at? Am I supposed to come join you?
FlashForward - Full Episodes and Clips streaming... →
Finally getting around to watching the FlashForwards that my DVR caught while I was busy with LOST’s last season but it looks like it cut the last episode short. Had to verify that Hulu has it before I got started and ended up 15 mins shy of finding out how it ended.
Comfest was fun
Still not sure it’s not overrated…. but it was interesting enough I can’t complain.
Worth going back for the lemonade shakeups alone.
If i hadn’t forgotten my phone youd have pictures of it and the karaoke after-party. :(
Before Cellphones
You just went and did stuff and hoped you’d run into your friends and everything would work out the way you’d hoped. and if you needed to know the time you wore a wristwatch.
I was laughing too hard
to get the words out when I called RTB to tell him that his facebook status said “Love You Too !” all day because he apparently replied to someone in the wrong spot.
What is it with people that have to… you know.. I want to put a device on...

The Bigfoot Diaries: Five Questions With... Ross... →
TBD: Bruce Springsteen is a huge fan of the Dictators. Do you and he argue over who is the real Boss?
RTB: I constantly kick Bruce’s ass over the name but you know, who can argue with him? Ha ha… I love Bruce!!
Just did my roots
I’m looking in the mirror wondering why my hair looks so thin at the roots. I got up close and poked around only to find that its not thinning at all, it’s grey. *gasp*
I’ve been coloring my hair since I was 16 and I had no idea I had grey in any noticeable amounts until just now. It’s bizarre and shocking.
It’s also covered up already.
I dont think Lady Gaga's that controversial
She’s just a girl with some pop songs and some crazy outfits.
Boy doesn’t everyone just love to discuss her.
New Episodes of Futurama?
Thank goodness I’m following TV geeks on twitter on account of LOST or I might have missed this. How brave of Cartoon Network to bring that back. The original episodes were so great there was no way not to have really high expectations. Thankfully they met them. Yay. We all win.
Long narrative about last years Comfest
Right so I moved to Columbus and last year was my first Comfest. I’d heard all about this awesome awesome most awesome of all awesome festivals ever in legend long before I moved here and all-year round from pretty much everyone who lives here. I went expecting a lot.
But I did it totally wrong.
First off I went early on the first day so things hadnt even gotten started yet, with a dude...
Ross The Boss is a guitar player.
He doesnt say “Guitarist”.
I don’t think he’s making any particular statement.
It’s just true.
