Folks at work were discussing the Heroes finale today. I didn’t join in because the conversation seemed embarrassingly shallow to me. Afterall I listen to two podcasts a week for this show and I don’t even like it.

They bought everything and weren’t disappointed at all.
Not even by the ‘big fight’ that happened off screen.

They swapped thoughts and theories and questions and I just shut my mouth, keeping my geekery to myself. Because I didn’t just know the answers, but I also knew why those things were lame and stupid.

They didn’t seem to think so.

I guess deep down I always knew that Heroes was for regular people and that the depths of my geekdom prevent me from enjoying a show like this, full of plot holes and barely knows itself if it’s trying to tell a coherent story.

I saw this finale as a set-up for next season which has potential to not suck; Those people paid attention to the plot.

Just between you and me, I think I did it right.
