Went to see Saviours tonight.

These guys opened up the Scion fest a few mos ago and you couldn’t even get in the bar. I did manage to see them later that night playing the after-party at Carabar and I really thought they may have been my fave of all the bands that I saw. Mostly because they sound a lot like an old-school thrash band. And I’m pretty much and old-school thrasher.

These guys apparently have just come off the ozzfest. They’ve got some serious buzz. I imagined they are already too famous for the likes of me. Because I only like bands no one but me knows about. But they assured me that the Ozzfest kids watched them and weren’t sure if they should like them or not. So this band could be mine for awhile.

I hate that when bands that I love get too big for small bars and then they’re not mine anymore.

Actually they played the small room at this club, not the big room… and it wasn’t totally packed. The band was awesome and I think if I knew the songs and all those dudes with cameras hadn’t been up the front…….

That’s a pet peeve of mine. OK I take pics too and even video sometimes but for goodness sake people! Be a person who LIVES life. Not a person who records it. All the energy of the people on the right side was interrupted and unable to join with the people on the left side because of all the douchebags with cameras hogging the front row. Put the cameras down and enjoy yourself and let the crowd be rowdy up in front. This is Heavy Metal people.

Right anyway. Saviours is a great band and go see em ASAP before they get too big and you can’t see em in a small bar anymore and all those photographer douchebags sell their pics and vidz for tons o’ cash cause they’ve got footage of the band from back in the day.
