So I’ve been hanging around this here metal scene for like 2 yrs now. I seem to have met the key players in this scene but I still struggle to get anyone to actually talk to me or give me flyers for shows or accept me as one of them.

Maybe its cause I’m not in a band, or cause I’m a girl, or more likely because they’re all a bunch of social retards who don’t know how to talk to girls.

If I drink vodka, I get friendly enough to make them meet me. but then I can’t remember having met them next time, so it wasn’t that clever a plan afterall.

Last night I was talking metal with a guy who was new to me. Told him the scene is great but the boys are socially retarded cause I have no trouble meeting men anywhere but in the metal scene where I’m the only girl.

Then I thought about it and decided that if I can’t meet guys with those odds, after hanging round for 2 yrs, it must be me who’s the social retard.

He says we’re all social retards. Not just me.
