I’ve faced the fact that my Zebra futon set is junk.

I’m not after the money I’m asking trying to sell these things so much as I am trying to make them not be junk. Maybe I just can’t do that.

I bought that set when I lived in an upstairs apartment we couldnt get “real” furniture in. I picked the zebra print because it matched my Lucy. Who was a baby at the time. I figured the cat fur wouldn’t show so bad if I got furniture that matched her.

We had years of good snoozes on that thing. Me and Lucy and eventually Oreo and The Flashy Man. I’d put it down when I was sick. I’d put it back up when I was healthy. Company came over and sat on it. It moved to NY and back with me. It moved to Columbus with me. It was where I laid with Lucy for hours and watched TV when she was too sick to do much anything anymore. It was where Oreo started spending all her time after Lucy died.

Putting the sofa to rest is sad for me.
So much of my life happened on it.
