I’m not going to YOB tonight.
I don’t feel bad about it.
Thats why I’m not going.
Seen ‘em 2x already, I know what they do.
I don’t think they suck and I do like that the crowd gets into it.
But “getting into it” is a relative term.
The pace is slow and I always feel somehow unsatisfied.
I mean theyre good at what theyre doing but my energy is so different.
All my fave bands are manic and sweaty.
All the cool kids will be there
which is the only reason I feel bad for not going.
Which is why I’m not going.
I’ve known of the band for years, seen ‘em twice
never bought a record or listened to ‘em outside of the week they were in town.
I’m not making excuses or apologies
Just not going.
