Electric Six and Valient Thorr have both announced some pivotal new shows today for me to latch onto and plan around.

Electric Six is doing 2 shows to record a live album which will include a 2nd set that will be Fire in it’s entirety. Easily one of my all-time favorite albums, and they’re doing this while they’re still good, not 20 years later when they’ve run out of money like the fogie Metal bands I complain about. So you know it’ll sound great. I think one time I saw them do Nuclear War after Gay Bar. Which was awesome and I only wished they’d kept going and done the rest of the album. Valient Thorr is about to go on tour with COC and Torche and if that’s not good enough for you, then once again I’m proud to say they’re making a special stop in my town on a night off, because they know they have fans here, to play a bar that’s probably too small for them to be playing. I was trying to work out some clever way to take some vacation time and see both bands when they were going to be in Michigan at roughly the same time but I couldn’t make it work, so this great news for me that both bands have added cooler shows on better days!
